Andy King’s brides and grooms are drawn to his captivating blend of photojournalistic and traditional styles, as well as his attention to detail and contagious personality. His work has been described as “fresh & unique.” The manner in which he approaches weddings captures spontaneity (natural expressions/moments), creating images of his subjects that are far more simulating, artistic, and genuine then an over-posed or forced approach. This, combined with his extensive fine portrait experience, allows him to previsualize a scene and create images of his brides and grooms that showcase their best attributes.

Andy has become one of San Diego’s most sought after wedding photographers.  He also travels both nationally and abroad for destination weddings. His travels take him anywhere from Malibu to San Felipe and Hawaii to Costa Rica.

After a over a decade photographing weddings, the artistry and technical mastery that provide the foundation for his work has gained national recognition.

As owner of the King Photography Studio in Alpine, California, he also specializes in fine portraiture.  The studio is nestled into the expanse of Alpine’s JK Corral. The Corral is well known for its beautiful landscape. Its oak grove, waterfalls, and rustic cabins act as back drops for his outdoor portraiture.

Andy’s engagement, trash-the-dress, and model sessions are unrivaled. He utilizes unique settings, landscapes, and structures from the beaches, to the desert, and beyond.
